Our Story

Anne Faith Nicholls was born in 1979 to Glenn and Donna Nicholls in Victoria BC. She grew up and attended high school in Seattle Washington, and moved to San Francisco, CA in 2000 to continue her education and pursue a career in Art. She lived and worked in San Francisco for 8 years, establishing herself as a professional artist and illustrator, before moving to LA with Jacob. Anne's favorite things include art, museums, flea markets, travel, books, antiques, cooking, dogs, tennis, bbq, and skiing. Currently, she and Jacob live in Downtown Los Angeles, CA.

Jacob Arden McClure was born in 1980 to Judy and Dave McClure, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. From a very young age, Jacob has worked in the art, film and TV industries, creating his own movies and exhibiting his paintings in galleries around the country. He moved to California in 2005 to pursue his career as an artist and film director. Jacob's favorite things include art, film/movies, design, interior design, books, architecture, furniture, travel. Currently, he lives with Anne in Downtown Los Angeles, CA.

Jacob and Anne met at an art gallery in San Francisco in 2005 when they were 25. Mutual friends, Andrew and Sunshine Jackson of Monterey Bay, CA, introduced them while Jacob was visiting from Florida. The two had instant chemistry! Jacob asked Anne to show him around San Francisco, and from there they would have their first date at a Doves concert at the legendary Filmore. After hanging out for a few weeks, Jacob had to go back home to Florida, but he and Anne would call each other everyday for 3 months until Jacob eventually moved himself (and all of his stuff) out to California with his buddy Tyson. The couple lived (separately) in San Francisco for about 3 years while dating, and eventually moved to Los Angeles together in the Summer of 2008, both fulfilling a life long goal. The following winter, Jacob proposed to Anne in a most romantic fashion. He organized a long road trip up the California coast with the first stop at the legendary State Theater, when he surprised Anne with a private movie screening of home videos of them when they met, that he had made just for her! Alone in the theater they sat, as forgotten 8mm footage of them danced across the big screen to the tune of Radiohead. At the end of a beautiful movie, Jacob proposed to Anne with an exquisite 1920's Art Deco platinum and diamond ring, and she said "Of course!"

The couple plans to have a unique wedding "their way, the artist's way" this Spring in Paris France, in conjunction with an extended European honeymoon for 2 months. They both look forward to traveling, living the art life, being best friends, loving and supporting each other, and building their lives together!
